After being kicked out of a nightclub in Wichita, Kansas, a man returned and carried out bloody revenge against the people in attendance.
A manhunt is now underway after the suspect returned to the Enigma Club and Lounge seeking revenge, killing one man and injuring seven others. The man opened fire on the club from the sidewalk, apparently not targeting anyone specific.
The suspect, who has been identified as Keshawn Maurice Dawson, was allegedly kicked out of the club just after midnight on September 7th. He reportedly was in a fight at the club prior to being removed. Dawson left the scene after the shooting in a dark-colored vehicle, while someone else was driving.
Police are asking those who know of his whereabouts or have any information to call Crime Stoppers at (316) 267-2111.
Local media is reporting that eight people were shot, one of whom was killed. Two others suffered life-threatening injuries, and another three individuals were brought to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police have identified the man killed as Preston Spencer, 34, a husband, and father of two young children.
Spencer’s close friend Emma Mast told reporters about the moments before he died. According to Mast, Spencer threw himself in front of his cousin, who is pregnant, when the shooting started. The cousin and her unborn baby are both okay.
“Preston did what Preston does,” Mast said. “He protected his friends and family.”
