Baptist Church Riots at Marines Funeral, Gets Greeted by Wall of Bikers

The Westboro Baptist Church finally faced some well-deserved resistance when they decided to protest at a Marine’s funeral.

When word leaked out that the hate-filled Westboro Baptist Church was planning to protest a Marine’s funeral, a group of bikers decided to show up and teach them a lesson.

The Westboro Baptist Church is so radical and disgusting that even the KKK has denounced them.

Fallen Soldier

Marine Cpl. Richard Bennett, 25, was killed in a helicopter crash in Iraq. His grief-stricken family was planning his funeral in the small town of Girard, Kansas, when word of his death reached the Westboro Baptist Church.

“Disgustingly, the radical members of Westboro decided to protest Cpl. Bennett’s funeral since the deranged group believes that God kills members of the military due to America’s acceptance of homosexuality,” according to reporting from TapHaps.

To prevent the hate-filled protestors from disrupting the funeral, the Patriot Guard Riders came to provide protection.

According to their website:

“Founded in 2005 to shield families of fallen heroes from those that would disrupt the services of their loved ones, the Patriot Guard Riders has grown to include thousands of members across all 50 states in the US. We are a 100% volunteer 501(c)(3) organization.

As our membership has grown, so has the scope of our mission. We also honor first responders as well as our military veterans. Additionally we have an active Help On The Homefront (HOTH) program, which provides assistance to our veterans and their families.”

This group of bikers, many of whom are veterans, attend funerals for military members and first responders at the invitation of their families. They form an honor guard during military burials to protect mourners from the harassment of disgusting groups such as the Westboro Baptist Church.

TapHaps writes: “The service the Patriot Guard Riders group provides is priceless. When a family loses a loved one, the last thing they want or need to face is a group of irreverent, cruel, disrespectful, and downright crazed extremists with vile signs and chants. It’s during those moments that the Patriot Guard Riders show their respect in the most effective and protective way. Using their bikes and their bodies, they form an impenetrable shield against picketers.”

Hundreds of bikers arrived at Marine Cpl. Richard Bennett’s funeral, drowning out the noise from the Westboro Baptist Church members’ disgusting chants using patriotic music and the revving of their bike engines.
