A California Highway Patrol Officer has a good Samaritan to thank for possibly being alive today.
Things went sideways during a call, with the suspect getting the quick drop on the officer.
Were it not for the good Samaritan and a couple of other motorists, who knows what would have happened to this cop.
Just Doing My Part
Officers responded to a man standing by the freeway and yelling at motorists.
He was also reportedly trying to remove a highway sign.
Everything seemed to be okay, with the man seemingly complying with the officer’s request, when everything went sideways.
The man attacked the officer, quickly getting the officer on his back.
Everado Navarro saw the officer in distress, so he jumped in to help.
He explained, “I see the officer down, I was concerned about the guy grabbing the officer’s gun and shooting the officer.
“I punched the guy from the back, but I feel like it didn’t do anything.
“Like he was super strong, like he didn’t even feel it.
“I will do that for anybody anytime.”
Had Navarro not jumped in, as well as the two other men, who knows if that officer would even be alive today.
