Even WaPo Forced To Fact-Check Walz’s Latest Lie

Far-Left Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s latest lie about Republican vice-presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) was so egregious that even the radical leftist Washington Post was forced to fact-check him.

The outlet gave Walz “four Pinocchios” — the most a false rating can receive — in the fact-check on Thursday after he lied about Vance’s pro-worker positions.

During a Tuesday campaign rally in front of a union audience, Walz blatantly lied by claiming that Vance is not pro-worker and has “never cast a vote on a pro-worker bill in his life.”

“I’ll tell you, [former President Donald Trump’s] running mate, I don’t know if that was a value-add to this campaign or not, but he’s one of four senators, four, that has never cast a vote on a pro-worker bill in his life. Not once,” Walz falsely claimed. “A stopped clock’s right twice a day, this guy can’t get it right once, not once, for workers.”

“The only thing those two guys know about working people is how to work to take advantage of them,” he added.

This lie was so egregious that the Washington Post was forced to defend Vance — writing that they were “struck” by his comments and suggesting that Walz had borrowed the talking point from a far-left group without even bothering to look into it, despite the information disproving the allegation being easily available.

“We were struck that Walz said that Vance was one of four senators who had never cast a vote for a pro-worker bill,” the fact-check read. “That was rather specific and sounded as if he was borrowing from a legislative scorecard compiled by an organization or interest group.”

The far-left outlet went on to confirm that Walz’s “source” for the false claims “was a union report card that covered only two bills in one year.”

“Vance has voted for at least two bills that helped workers and had union support,” the Washington Post, which is no fan of Vance, admitted.

The outlet also refuted another one of Walz’s lies from that speech — his claim that Vance, who grew up in poverty and worked his way into success, knows nothing about working people. The fact-check pointed out that this was literally the “subject” of Vance’s bestselling book, “Hillbilly Elegy.”

Vance has promoted pro-worker and pro-family bills throughout his time in the Senate, with even Teamsters President Sean O’Brien praising Vance for caring about workers and supporting pro-worker bills.
