On Tuesday, the Democrat Party made a post on Facebook that was mercilessly mocked, as they referred to Vice President Kamala Harris and her newly chosen running mate, radical leftist Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, as the “dream team.”

Harris officially tapped Walz as her VP pick on Tuesday, which surprised many on both sides of the aisle, as the Minnesota governor is as radical, or even more so, than Harris — meaning that it is very unlikely that he would win her any more votes, as she has already secured the far-left vote. A running mate is typically chosen for a strategic reason, such as picking a governor or other prominent individual from a swing state to garner more votes, or picking a person who represents a demographic that the presidential nominee is struggling to court. While Walz and Harris are members of different demographic groups, it is highly unlikely that he will win her any votes from white males, as they would be turned off by his far-left views. Minnesota is also a reliably blue state, so his popularity there will not be a benefit.

Trying to show excitement for the Democrat presidential ticket, the Democrat Party’s official Facebook page shared photos of Harris and Walz side-by-side with the simple caption: “Dream team.”
The post did not receive the response Democrats were expecting, as they were brutally mocked by users.
“Nightmares are dreams too I guess,” one person commented.
Another person pointed out that Democrats “are shooting their own party in the foot with this one.”
“Terrible pick wait till his record is exposed. Soft on crime let rioters burn and loot cities. Supported defund the police and sanctuary cities,” another user wrote.
“They got to Destroy this whole country so that they can rebuild it in their own way,” another individual replied, concluding with the hashtag: “#TRUMP2024ToSaveAmerica.”
Meanwhile, despite Harris’ comments about being “proud” to choose Walz, many are pointing out that the decision suggests that Harris “allied herself with the most far-left choice among those on her shortlist,” according to Breitbart News. It appears that Facebook commenters agree with this assertion.
Polling also seems to show that Walz’s radical leftist views are unpopular with the vast majority of Americans, as a Tuesday NPR/PBS News/Marist poll revealed that less than one-quarter of Americans view Walz in a positive light.
