The DOJ pulled a really dirty trick on Donald Trump but it didn’t work. Federal Prosecutors offered Jeffrey Epstein “a sweetheart plea deal” and all he had to do for his get out of jail free card was give them something against Trump. It didn’t need to be true, he was reportedly assured. As long as it couldn’t be disproven. He had nothing to give them.
DOJ frame up failed
The alleged deal offered by the DOJ to Jeffrey Epstein comes from a less than fully reliable source. It sounds plausible, though.
Epstein’s cellmate was an ex-cop turned killer. Nicholas Tartaglione told the story to an author. He’s also dead now.
According to Tartaglione’s tale, Epstein was offered a deal “in return for incriminating information that would lead to President Trump’s impeachment.”

The nasty part was where the DOJ told him “I don’t have to prove what I say about Trump, as long as Trump’s people can’t disprove it.”
There was only one story Epstein could relate and it wasn’t what the DOJ wanted to hear. Trump once threw him out of Mar-a-Lago for flirting with a young girl.
That’s the story Nicholas Tartaglione gave his biographer, Jessica Reed Kraus. The Ex-Westchester cop was “Epstein’s bunkmate at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan.”
Jeff wanted advice
Epstein confided in him, Tartaglione relates, because he had been a cop. “He said, ‘When you were a cop, what do you know about proffers and cooperating?‘ I said, ‘Jeff, it’s pretty simple, the prosecutors, you know, they caught a fish — you. They’re not gonna let that fish off the hook unless you give them a bigger fish.‘”
The fish the DOJ wanted was Trump.
“He said, ‘They told me they’d let me plead out something small, and I’ll do just a couple of years in a camp, if I can give them something on Trump to get him impeached.‘” The DOJ gave him a tempting offer.
“He says, but the government told me I don’t have to prove what I say about Trump, as long as Trump’s people can’t disprove it,” Tartaglione said — adding that Epstein considered “making stuff up.” Not just to save his own skin. He could have kept the heat off Ghislaine Maxwell.
“Trump and Epstein did know each other, but they weren’t friends,” Tartaglione said. “In fact, he said Trump once threw him out of a party at Mar-a-Lago for being flirtatious with young women.” Epstein told the killer cop. “well, you know, I know him. I met him, but we don’t like each other.”

The DOJ didn’t want to hear that. “I said, Why he throw you out? He said, ‘Oh he got mad, I was talking to some girl.‘ By now I got wind of what he was in there for. And I said, ‘How old was the girl, Jeff?‘ And he says, ‘Oh about 18, 19.‘ So, I was a cop. I said, ‘Jeff, that means probably 14, 15.‘ And he says, ‘Well he threw me out. I haven’t talked to him since.‘“
