Over the last few weeks, there has been a lot of drama regarding Joe Biden being put on the Ohio ballot.
You see, the geniuses at the DNC scheduled the convention after the deadline for certification in Ohio.
Now the Dems are making a big production about a virtual certification for Biden to beat back the GOP effort to remove Biden from the state’s ballot.
Just Not True
The problem is that the Ohio ballot would require the nominee’s certification by early August to beat its deadline.
The DNC is not scheduled until nearly two weeks after that deadline.
Republicans were working on a solution to accommodate Biden, with the Senate having already passed legislation.
Governor Mike DeWine, a Republican, had even stated that he would call a special session to pass this legislation and ensure that Biden is on the ballot, but that did not stop DNC Chair Jamie Harrison from taking a shot at Republicans, even though this was his screwup.
Harrison stated, “Joe Biden will be on the ballot in Ohio and all 50 states, and Ohio Republicans agree.
“But when the time has come for action, they have failed to act every time, so Democrats will land this plane on our own.”
Again, had he checked the state’s certification date, he would have known that the convention was scheduled too late.
Honestly, after his comments, if I were DeWine, I would have told Harrison that we were willing to work with you on this, but since you decided to take a potshot, the special session is called off, and please, go about your virtual nomination to put the old man on the ballot.
For a party that talks about unifying the country, they sure do make a lot of divisive comments.
