Democrat Delegate Robbed At Gunpoint In Chicago

Democrat Delegate Robbed At Gunpoint In Chicago Outside DNC

Just as many Republican commentators predicted, the dark side of crime-riddled Chicago was on full display at the Democrat National Convention (DNC), as one Democrat delegate was robbed at gunpoint early Wednesday morning as part of a crime spree.

A pair of criminals have reportedly robbed several people at gunpoint during the first three days of the DNC, including the most recent robbery of a Democrat delegate from Texas.

The alleged victim, who has not been identified, reportedly confirmed in a statement to CWB Chicago that he had been walking down the street with a friend on the 100 block of West Randolph at around 2:00 a.m. when a black Range Rover suddenly pulled up near him.

The gunman jumped out of the vehicle and robbed a 25-year-old man on the sidewalk next to the Allegro Royal Sonesta Hotel Chicago, then crossed the street to rob the delegate and his female friend at gunpoint. No one was injured during the robberies, according to CWB Chicago.

The Chicago Police Department (CPD) reported that the suspects are two black men between 5’7” and 5’9” dressed in all black clothing, wearing ski masks over their faces. They have reportedly been on a robbery spree over the past few days, with the first crime occurring on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the 200 block of West 23rd.

The suspects have also been connected to the robbery of three individuals standing outside the Emily Hotel on North Morgan on Tuesday at 12:45 a.m., where the pair reportedly pulled up in the same black Range Rover to rob an 18-year-old woman, a 19-year-old man, and a 20-year-old man at gunpoint. The three victims reportedly complied with the suspects’ demands and no one was injured.

There was also a robbery early on Wednesday morning that may be connected, as it was on the same street where the Democrat delegate was robbed and happened around the same time.

Social media users mocked the Democrats after hearing the news, with RNC Research highlighting the robbery in response to comments from Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) at the DNC.

“I’m in Chicago right now — and it couldn’t be a more perfect experience for our delegates and our party!” RNC Research quoted Bowser as saying, before highlighting that “A delegate from Texas was just robbed at gunpoint.”

The Trump War Room X account noted that this news proves that “Soft-on-crime policies get people hurt.”

President Trump will put a stop to them when elected,” the post concluded.
