Commieland City Shows Special Treatment to Business Owners Who are NOT White

Ah, San Francisco, if the Peoples’ Republic of Commie-fornia has a cold-grey heart, its’ here. Alcatraz, proximity to Silicon Valley, the feces and needles of thousands living in the streets, this place has everything  small-business owners want, right? Even special COVID relief, unless you’re white.

In December, SF Mayor London Breed announced a set of new measures to “help small businesses”, that is little more than a racially motivated wealth-redistribution scheme with the thin veneer of COVID19 Relief.

DailyWire revealed this morning,

“$5,000 grants are being given by the city to small businesses suffering from the coronavirus pandemic, but there’s more to the story than that: the money is being used to meet the city’s “equity goals,” which means that among those businesses that are prioritized are “minority-owned businesses including women-owned, immigrant-owned, people of color-owned businesses,” and those in certain “cultural districts.”

Racially Motivated Special Treatment

Mayor Breed put out a press release detailing the “equity goals” and how they’ll be met by the new grants.

  • “Up to $1 million in funding comes from the Shared Spaces Equity Grants Program, which prioritizes minority-owned businesses and businesses that advance the City’s equity goals”
  • “Priority for the Shared Spaces Equity Grants is given to locally-owned, minority-owned businesses that advance the City’s equity goals, including
    • women-owned businesses,
    • immigrant-owned businesses,
    • legacy businesses,
    • and businesses in established cultural districts or that serve a largely minority clientele.”

The press release attempted to justify the racially motivated preferential treatment, “According to the Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative Research Program at Stanford University, only 28% of scaled Latino-owned businesses have a majority of employees that can work from home compared to 44% among white-owned businesses. Their survey data also showed that Latino-Owned Businesses had their Paycheck Protection Program loans approved at nearly half the rate of White-Owned Businesses.”

Which reads an awful lot like “White-owned businesses don’t need our help.” and leans heavily on what President George W. Bush called the “soft bigotry of low expectations”.

The COVID19 Lockdown is Crushing ALL BUSINESSES

Nick Kershner, President of Matchless IT appeared on Fox Business Monday and told how his business is being forced to relocate from California due to the draconian lockdown, they’re moving to Erie, PA. Kershner said the lcokdown restrictions are causing a “trickle-down effect”,

“This has affected our business because we serve almost every other business in every other industry and the ones that are being affected by the lockdowns,” Kershner said. He stressed that as other businesses “get hit and they lose, it trickles over to us.”

“I don’t know many businesses are going to be able to survive another intense lockdown like we’re in right now,” Kershner warned.

If Kershner’s Long Beach, CA business were in San Francisco, there would be no help for him from the city. He’s the wrong color, and gender for that matter. But what he’s said is true, the impact of the COVID19 restrictions are reverberating throughout the entire economy with businesses owned and operated by all races, creeds and colors feeling the same pain. It is as morally bankrupt to grant assistance to a business owner due to the color of their skin as it is to deny it on the same basis. Bigotry is bigotry, no matter the target, and we cannot allow our government to operate on a basis of racial discrimination.
