Christopher Wray isn’t getting out of the contempt of Congress charge with his last minute fancy footwork. The subpoena said hand the document over and Chris didn’t do it. He let the deadline go by, then offered to show it to Comer and his panel’s top Democrat. They viewed what he had to show them and Comer wasn’t impressed. He’s still moving forward with contempt and he leaked some more Democrat infuriating details to keep the heat on the FBI.
Wray still in contempt
The House Oversight Committee is moving forward with the process of holding Christopher Wray in contempt of Congress, James Comer announced on Monday. His committee has been trying to pry a FD-1023 witness interview form loose from the FBI, who’s been doing their best not to hand it over. The document is known to fully describe “a $5 million criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Joe Biden and a foreign national relating to the exchange of money for policy decisions.”
Instead of simply handing it over to the committee, as they should, the bureau offered to play show and tell in one of those secure document compartments. That happened on June 5, with Comer and his Democrat colleague Jamie Raskin. Too little, too late, Comer declares.
“At the briefing, the FBI again refused to hand over the unclassified record to the custody of the House Oversight Committee,” Comer explained. “And we will now initiate contempt of Congress hearings this Thursday.” Wray isn’t going to jet away to his favorite fishing hole from this one.”Given the severity and complexity of the allegations contained within this record, Congress must investigate further.”

Considering that Chris Wray had his minions bring the document over to show them, they can no longer deny that it exists. It’s not even classified. During the briefing, the FBI official confirmed that the allegations in the report have “not been dis-proven.”
The bureau sheepishly admitted that the document in question is “currently being used in an ongoing investigation.” That’s something which Democrat Jamie Raskin conveniently failed to hear. He ducked the question when interviewed about it later.
Informant is credible
Not only is the informant a “credible” one, he’s one of the bureau’s paid rats. Wray has been forking over heavy cash to the source for years on everything under the sun. Now that the source has been validated, the Federal Bureau of Instigation suddenly switches to the claim that the material is somehow flawed. They won’t say what’s wrong with it but their source got it third-hand, off the street.
Even if the dirt is a little questionable, they now admit it forms the basis of an investigation. What they won’t say is what they have found in all those years of open investigation and why nobody has been charged with anything.
The tale of Biden family influence for sale came from “a trusted, highly credible informant who has been used by the FBI for over ten years and has been paid over 6 figures.” Christoper Wray doesn’t want you to know that.
Comer came out claimed the FBI Doc is part of an ongoing investigation.

As Comer points out, “these are facts and no amount of spin and frankly, lies from the White House or congressional Democrats can change this information.”
Someone friendly to Fox News leaked that “the confidential human source who provided the Biden information to the FBI was a ‘pre-existing‘ FBI source who has been used in multiple investigative matters separate from the Biden information.”
The rat had been running around loose on Capitol Hill for “at least several years” before he turned in this tip. Christopher Wray keeps digging a bigger hole for himself and that could be exactly what Comer and his committee are waiting for. He may dig one big enough to bury both him and his boss, Merrick Garland.
