CNN Turns On Kamala

CNN Calls Out Kamala For Hiding From Press

Vice President Kamala Harris’ efforts at hiding from media questions have reached such a ridiculous degree that even CNN was forced to question Harris’ communications director, Michael Tyler, about the issue.

RNCResearch has continued to mark the calendar for every day that Harris has been hiding from the media — refusing to give an interview or hold an unscripted press conference, noting on August 14 that it was “Day 24.”

“Kamala hasn’t done a single interview nor press conference since she forced Biden off the ticket. Just the same teleprompter speech — over and over and over again,” the account wrote in a post on X.

As RNCResearch mentioned, Harris has given the exact same speech at least four different times, with very minor changes.

The Democrat presidential nominee’s continued hiding from the media has gotten so bad that even CNN is calling her out, with disgraced CNN host Jim Acosta pressing her communications director about the issue.

During a Wednesday episode of “CNN Newsroom,” Acosta asked: “I’m sure this is not going to be the first time you’ve heard this question, but the Trump campaign is also going after the vice president for not doing enough interviews, for not holding a press conference. Would it kill you guys to have a press conference? Why hasn’t she had a press conference?”

Tyler responded: “Listen, the vice president and [her running mate, Minnesota Gov.] Tim Walz (D) has been busy crisscrossing this country since the launch of this campaign and adding a Governor Walz to the ticket. You saw the ways in which they went across the battleground states last week, generating rallies of thousands, 10,000 here, 15,000 there.”

Despite the spokesperson’s efforts to avoid answering the question, Acosta persisted — pointing out that Harris’ scripted rallies are not the same thing as a press conference or interview.

“But Michael, you know, a campaign rally is not a press conference. Do you mind if I cut in? I mean, you know campaign rally is not a press conference. Why isn’t she had a press conference? She’s the vice president, she can handle the questions, why not do it?” the CNN host asked.

Tyler immediately switched to the days-old talking point from Harris, who has claimed that she plans to schedule an interview by the “end of the month” — a vague statement that has angered many Americans, as it appears that the vice president is desperately trying to hide from scrutiny while her opponent, former President Donald Trump, does not shy away from even the most hostile interview.

“We absolutely are going to do it,” Harris’ spokesperson claimed. “You hear her take questions as she’s out on the stump, and as she said last week, we’re going to be having a sit-down interview here before the end of the month.”

Acosta continued to press the issue, asking: “One interview by the end of the month, that is not a lot. Can you commit to a press conference by the end of the month?”

“We will commit to directly engage with the voters,” Tyler replied. “They’re actually going to decide this election, and that is going to be complete with rallies, with sit-down interviews, with press conferences, with all the digital assets at our disposal. We are running a campaign that is built to communicate with the voters.”
