Cecilia Rouse, the chair of the White House Council of Economic Advisors, really struggled during a recent interview.
CNN’s Kate Bolduan asked her a straightforward question.
The problem is that the White House is lying; Rouse knows it, so she acted like she was in a dodge ball tournament.
Laughable
The question to Rouse was how Democrats could call this new legislation the Inflation Reduction Act, when it does nothing to reduce inflation.
Rouse responded, “So this bill represents really important investments we know we need to make that help to expand our economic capacity,”
“Inflation happens when we have too much demand for the supply, and we know we need to be investing in the supply supports so we are better able as a country to address issues like inflation going forward.
“So this will increase our economic growth, and because of how we planned to implement it and provisions in the bill, that growth will be more equably shared.”
But it’s not the Future Investment’s Bill… it’s the Inflation Reduction Act, and Bolduan would not leave Rouse off the hook.
She eventually called her out and dropped a nasty left hook on her at the end of the interview…
When CNN is calling you misleading, well, it is pretty much game over.
