Christopher Wray CHARGED…

In a last ditch effort to avoid the contempt charge that’s hanging over his head like a sword, Christopher Wray caved in and said he’ll let the entire committee see the Biden bribe tip report. There’s really no point in hiding it any longer because after his show and tell session Monday, enough has been revealed to piece the entire story together. It’s crystal clear that by refusing to hand the form over, he’s refusing to do his job and thumbing his nose at Congress. It may be a long, drawn out fight but he’s already lost. Chairman James Comer says that as long as Chris keeps his end of that offer, he’ll drop the charge. He’s not pausing the process until everyone on his committee gets to see what he’s already seen, though.

Wray caves in to Congress

Now that the cat’s out of the bag, there’s no reason for Christopher Wray to flirt with a prison sentence over refusing to do his job. The damage has already been done so he bit the bullet and promised to do his job. At least, to do it this time in particular. He’s in more trouble for not doing his job by putting Joe Biden in jail for bribery. The FBI director has Wednesday, June 7, to come across with the goods. On Thursday, the committee votes to press the contempt charges.

From there, Speaker Kevin McCarthy promised to rush it to the floor for a full House vote. Not everyone is convinced on the Republican side but the main holdouts aren’t saying they aren’t concerned. They want to hear the evidence when it comes to a vote before they decide to let the director wriggle off the hook.

The Federal Bureau of Instigation made an offer to “hold a briefing with members of the panel and allow them to view the document, known as an FD-1023, as early as Wednesday.” They better get moving.

Even CNN is reporting that it’s an effort to “stave off expected contempt of Congress proceedings” against Christopher Wray. The bureau has been insisting that it contains “unverified claims provided by confidential human sources.” So what? Congress says. Why can’t we see it?

It turned out that the source was a reliable one, on the bureau payroll for years and making 6 figures as one of their rats. “The alleged bribery claims documented in the 1023 form surfaced years ago under the Trump administration and eventually became part of Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss’ investigation of Hunter Biden, which remains ongoing, people briefed on the matter said.

That means the ranking Democrat on the Oversight Committee, Jamie Raskin, lied when he said the probe was closed. Wray might not have investigated but Weiss has. Weiss hasn’t charged anyone with anything yet and that’s a whole separate investigation for the committee. Any investigation by Weiss means that the claims are credible. Yet, the FBI didn’t seem to investigate them.

FBI interviewed the rat

When the FBI got one of their regular briefings from a paid pet rat in their stable they wrote it up on a FD-1023 form and stuck it in a file. The FBI “interviewed the informant, who was known to the bureau and had considered him a trusted source based on interactions in a previous investigation.

They couldn’t prove what he said but couldn’t disprove it either because they didn’t have access to the right intelligence sources. Christopher Wray is trying to cover up something which has already been exposed.

Investigators were unable to corroborate the claims, but Pittsburgh U.S. Attorney Scott Brady, who then-Attorney General William Barr had appointed to review allegations brought to the Justice Department by Rudy Giuliani, decided to send the informant’s allegations to Weiss, who was already leading the Hunter Biden probe.

Barr came out publicly to debunk what Raskin had to say about that probe being closed but that’s another story. Wray seems to be trying to hide the fact that Weiss is probably aware the allegations are true but afraid to turn up dead if he files charges.

It’s unclear what additional steps the FBI took to investigate the claims, but Weiss’ investigation of Hunter Biden has since narrowed in scope to focus on alleged tax violations and a possible false statement.” The general idea is to shield the entire Biden family from influence peddling, money laundering and tax evasion charges, for starters, by pinning a couple small crimes on Hunter and letting him take the fall for them.

If they try that now, after the public already knows what the real story is, they’re setting themselves up for prison sentences along with the Bidens on down the road. Expect to see ranking officials begging for immunity from prosecution to tell what they know. Chris Wray knows that this is only the beginning of a much bigger investigation.
