Sad news… yet another mass shooting that probably never should have happened.
News broke on Wednesday night that a mass shooting had taken place in Maine.
The early death toll was 22, with another 30 injured, some very seriously.
Missed Signs
Authorities announced that Robert Card is a person of interest in the shooting.
Card was seen in surveillance photos at both locations where the shooting took place, and now a manhunt is underway to find him.
The shootings took place at Schemengees Bar and Sparetime Recreation in Lewiston, ME.
Lewiston Police posted on social media, “Law Enforcement is attempting to locate Robert Card 4/4/1983, as a person of interest regarding the mass shooting at Schemengees Bar and Sparetime Recreation this evening.
“Card should be considered armed and dangerous.
“Please contact law enforcement if you are aware of his whereabouts.”
The latest reports I saw are now involving the Coast Guard, as Card may have escaped on his boat.
The reports on Card are beyond disturbing, as he had a clear history of mental health issues as well as recently making statements that he was going to shoot up the Reserve base.
Why people always seem to come forward with this information after the fact is beyond me.
Democrats, of course, have started the gun control talk, blaming the weapon instead of the failures of the system.
