There’s a mass killer on the loose in Maine and this one is exceptionally dangerous. He’s a “firearms instructor” who snapped earlier this summer. He sought psychiatric help when he started hearing voices. It seems that his treatment hasn’t been all that effective. State Police “ordered residents in the state’s second-largest city to shelter in place Wednesday night because of an active shooter situation in multiple locations.” He’s still out there and hasn’t been spotted.

Dangerous killer on the loose

With a killer still actively evading capture, Central Maine Medical Center is reporting that their staff is “reacting to a mass casualty, mass shooter event” and they’re forced to coordinate with other local hospitals to take in overflow patients.

The death count was initially reported as 16 then went up as high as 22 before being revised back down to 18. There are numerous reported injuries as well. Police are searching for 40-year-old Robert Card.

Lewiston Police updated the public on Facebook to say that “they were dealing with an active shooter incident at Schemengees Bar and Grille.” That’s a separate location from the massacre that happened at Sparetime Recreation, a neighborhood bowling alley.

The killer could be anywhere so they advise, “please stay off the roads to allow emergency responders access to the hospitals.

Shortly after 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, Lewiston PD put out an alert bulletin stating that they were investigating “two active shooter events.” and the suspect killer was still at large. “We are encouraging all businesses to lock down and or close while we investigate.

By morning, the news wasn’t getting much better. “Seven people were found dead at the Just-In-Time Recreation bowling alley, eight were found dead at Schemengees Bar and Grille and three were pronounced dead at area hospitals.

Stay in your homes

The Maine Department of Public Safety announced that residents are urged to “stay in their homes with their doors locked.” Don’t try to confront the killer on your own. If you notice anything at all suspicious, call them fast. “Law enforcement is currently investigating at two locations right now,” spokesperson Shannon Moss relates.

Again please stay off the streets and allow law enforcement to diffuse the situation.” They found his car “overnight in Lisbon, Maine, at a boat ramp on the Androscoggin River.

Meanwhile, the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office released two photos of the suspect on its Facebook page. The images show the killer “walking into an establishment with a weapon raised to his shoulder.

Ange Amores, a spokesperson for the city of Lewiston, was sure to clarify that “city officials are not commenting on the shooting.

Their lawyers advise them to clam up because of his history of psych treatment, or lack thereof. “Card has a mental health history, including a two-week stay this past summer at a mental health facility after he reported hearing voices and made threats to shoot up a National Guard facility in Saco, Maine.

The killer is “believed to be in the Army Reserve and assigned to a training facility in Saco, Maine.
