It looks like Fox News is desperately trying to find creative new ways to stay relevant…and this is their latest idea. Breaking news has come in that Fox News and host Sean Hannity have just announced a scheduled debate between California Governor Gavin Newsom and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
This 90-minute event is scheduled to be broadcasted at 9 p.m. ET on November 30th in Georgia. While Biden is the current Democratic incumbent, the choice of Newsom to represent the Democratic side in this debate has led to speculation about Biden’s potential replacement in the next election cycle as well as DeSantis’ potential nomination for GOP 2024 presidential run.
This debate comes after months of rivalry between these two governors over issues such as migrant transportation from Texas border to Sacramento, California and more recently DeSantis’ “rookie mistakes” due to which his $50 million super PAC was shut down in late August.

With Joe Biden’s approval rating going lower and lower every day, it remains unclear if this ‘Red vs Blue’ matchup is just a ‘debate’ or potentially a test run for Gavin Newsom ahead of 2024 presidential race?
With both parties having their own agendas, this could prove out to be one of most heated political discussions yet.
Moreover, Sean Hannity’s presence will also add an interesting dynamic given his veteran status as a commentator and that he was the first one who initially broached the idea of this showdown between governors.
This upcoming debate will focus on everyday issues that impact American citizens including topics like healthcare reform, economic growth strategies etcetera. Both governors will have the opportunity to showcase their governing philosophies while providing viewers with an informative discussion about these pressing matters.
Although we can expect some passionate disagreements between these two sides given their past spats but one thing that can be guaranteed is that it will surely make for an entertaining spectacle.
