The latest Trafalgar poll for New York has Democrats losing their minds.
It was only a couple of weeks ago that the New York gubernatorial race was considered over.
Unless this poll is an outlier, that entire lead is now gone.
Neck-and-Neck
Governor Hochul has been dominating this race from the outset.
It was not even as though Zeldin was chipping away at her lead.
Everyone knew going in this was going to be an almost impossible task.
It was actually baffling why Zeldin would give up his cushy seat in the House to take on Hochul.
Now Zeldin is more energized than ever, stating, “On Nov. 8, we are going to win this race for governor.”
The poll still has Hochul in the lead, but at 44.5 to 42.6, it is within the margin of error, so this is a dead-even race.
Again, this could be an outlier, but we are seeing this trend around the country save a few disastrous races, such as Herschel Walker, who is absolutely imploding in Georgia right now.
Hochul has been dodging a debate with Zeldin, but she may not have a choice if the next poll comes out with a similar result.
