The men and women of our border patrol need to get a big slap on the back for this one.
With overdoses from fentanyl running rampant around the country, the agency just took 800 pounds of it off the street.
The amount seized is enough to kill about 15 percent of our entire country.
Under Attack
Joe Biden apparently thinks this is a laughing matter, but I assure you, it is not.
When you think about how much is seized and how rampant of a problem this remains, it is pretty clear that the cartel is just flooding our country with this drug.
They are probably making it for pennies on the dollar, so as big as this seizure is, it is but a small dent in the market.
It is estimated that the drug is as much as 100 times that of morphine, so only a small dose is enough to kill someone.
Fox News reported, “The drug, which is fatal in even small doses, has been at the heart of the opioid crisis that has killed tens of thousands of Americans each year.
“The drug is 50-100 times stronger than morphine and is often cut with other drugs, meaning that the user doesn’t know they are ingesting fentanyl.
“The Drug Enforcement Administration says the 2.2 pounds represent half a million lethal doses.”
We have seen the drug come across the border in various different forms, including to mimic Skittles and other candy.
Between the cartel and China, we are clearly under attack, only being made worse by Joe Biden’s open border policies.
