Joe Biden is set to travel to Brussels, Belgium, next week to go to a NATO summit on Russia’s intrusion of Ukraine, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Tuesday.

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg stated that the March 24 meeting:  “We will address Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, our strong support for Ukraine, and further strengthening NATO’s deterrence and defense.”

Psaki said Biden will “reaffirm our ironclad commitment to our NATO allies” at next week’s meeting.

Biden will likewise consult with the European Union Council in Brussels “to discuss our shared concerns about Ukraine, including transatlantic efforts to impose economic costs on Russia, provide humanitarian support to those affected by the violence and address other challenges related to the conflict,” Psaki stated.

The EU Council Summit is set to occur on March 24 and 25.

Psaki said the president’s goal for the journey is to  “meet in person face to face with his European counterparts” and “talk about and assess where we are at this point in the conflict.”

“We’ve been incredibly aligned to date, that isn’t an accident,” she included.

Psaki’s statement came on the very same day the prime ministers of Poland, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic took a trip to Kyiv to show assistance for Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky.

Meanwhile, Russia vied for brand-new sanctions versus Biden and other leading U.S. authorities on Tuesday in retaliation for U.S. sanctions enforced against Russian leadership.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin are among those affected by the brand-new sanctions, according to a declaration from the Russian Foreign Ministry reported by the Associated Press. Disclose.TV reported that Hunter Biden, Robert Biden, Hillary Clinton, Jen Psaki, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, Former UN Ambassador and Director of the Agency for International Development Samantha Power, Nationa Security Advisor Jacob Sullivan, CIA Director William Burns, and Chairman of the Joint Cheifs Gen. Mark Milley were included in the sanctions as well. What realistic effect any of these sanctions will have is unknown, however, Hunter Biden is known to have made investments within Russia’s sphere of influence and will likely see a financial impact.
