Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has admitted that she was openly advising illegal aliens on how to avoid law enforcement, referring to the illegal border crossers as “my constituents.”
The socialist congresswoman made the remarks after being asked about President Donald Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, calling for an investigation into her advising illegal aliens about how to avoid being arrested and deported. Ocasio-Cortez gave the advice to illegals during a webinar she hosted.
When Homan was asked about Ocasio-Cortez’s webinar, he stated: “So, maybe AOC is going to be in trouble now, but I need the [deputy attorney general] to opine on that, because there’s an impediment, it’s impediment in my opinion, I’m not a prosecutor, but we need some further guidance on that.”

Ocasio-Cortez was asked about this during an interview on NPR’s “Morning Edition.”
“I was informing all of my constituents of their constitutional protections and, in particular, their constitutional protections against illegal search and seizure in the United States,” she claimed.
NPR pointed out that Homan had been upset specifically because Ocasio-Cortez was advising illegal aliens on how to continue to break the law, not that she was advising her “constituents” about their constitutional protections.
Ocasio-Cortez was then asked point blank whether that was what she was doing, to which she responded by doubling down on her lie, stating: “I was giving advice to all of my constituents, yeah.”
She was also asked about Homan reaching out to the DOJ to determine whether she had committed a crime. According to Ocasio-Cortez, she has not yet heard from the DOJ, but she plans to reach out to them again about the issue.
In response to a question about what she would specifically ask the DOJ, Ocasio-Cortez said she would tell the department: “There is a member of the Trump administration who is threatening and seeks to open an inquiry, and are you going to do it?”
Ocasio-Cortez also claimed that the Trump administration was “bluffing,” adding that it was important to call them out for it.
“I think that this is what authoritarians do. I think this is what kleptocracies do,” she claimed. “They rely on the illusion of power.”
