Another Law Enforcement Officer Wrongly Fired for Standing Up Against BLM Goons

A Police Officer from Hopewell, New Jersey is out of a job today, “devastated” for being fired over a heart breaking Facebook post where she spoke of her and her family’s fear for her safety and rightly described Black Lives Matter rioters as “terrorists”. Former Hopewell Township police officer Sara Erwin spoke to the press along with her colleague Sergeant Mandy Gray who was suspended and demoted simply for liking the post. Two more officers that have been targeted by the cancel-culture mob.

Fired For Posting The Truth

Here’s what Officer Erwin posted in June 2020, at the height of the 180 days of non-stop BLM/Antifa rioting and burning in dozens of American cities.

She wrote,

“Last night as I left for work I had my two kids crying for me not to go to work. I don’t think I’ve ever felt the way I did last night. And then I watched people I know and others I care about going into harms way. I love my police family like my own.

So when you share posts and things on Facebook I’d really appreciate if you’d THINK before doing so. I’ve seen so many black lives matter [sic] hashtags in these posts.

Just to let you know — they are terrorists. They hate me. They hate my uniform. They don’t care if I die.”

Officer Erwin told Fox & Friends that, “I had friends, family, tons of people reaching out, text messages, phone calls, reaching out through messenger, checking on me and making sure everything was OK cause they were seeing so many things in the news.”

“I felt it was easiest to put what I was feeling and get a message out there that I was home [and] I was safe,”

She said it was an “emotional time” and that she was “worried about other officers” she knew in other cities. “I’m hearing things, I’m getting alerts on my phone and news sources, and it was just a really difficult couple of days,” Erwin continued.

Suspended And Demoted Just For Liking A Post

Officer Erwin’s friend and colleague Sergeant Mandy Gray joined her on Fox & Friends and explained that that she liked the post on Facebook to show support for Erwin after they had a “very emotional conversation” at work.

“I had to send one of my officers into a neighboring city that was having riots. It was just a very emotional night,” Gray said. “I knew where she [Erwin] was coming from because of the conversation we had had earlier in the evening when she made that post and I hearted it in support in showing my love.”

According to attorney Frank Crivelli who is representing both officers both were “exemplary and decorated officers” with “absolutely no disciplinary history” NJ.com reported taht Crivelli called the Hopewell Township’s actions “disgraceful and cowardice”

The publication reported that the the Township Council voted “unanimously” to fire Erwin and punish  Gray based on the recommendations of a hearing officer, lawyer Brian P. Trelease. Hopewell’s Democrat Mayor Julie Blake declined to comment claiming it violated personnel confidentiality.

Both officers who have more than 20 years of honorable service with no disciplinary actions whatsoever are appealing to the New Jersey Superior Court seeking relief for what was absolutely a political decision from a radical Democrat Mayor and Council. This is revealed in Mayor Blake’s Facebook Posts which objectively show her support for BLM (having actually attened BLM events) and hostility toward police.

Hopewell Police Chief Resigns Shortly After

MercerMe.com based in Mercer County, NJ wrote that the Hopewell Police Chief, Lance Maloney announced his retirement shortly after the termination of former Officer Erwin and the suspension and demotion of Sergeant Gray.

MercerMe wrote,

“Maloney’s retirement comes after the recent suspension of several Hopewell Township police officers and employees (click here for story) in a racially-related issue, as well as recent heightened public support for Michael Sherman, a police officer who brought legal action against the Township Police Department several years ago. Sherman, who is Black, alleges being the subject of ongoing racist jokes and comments while in the employment of the Township Police Department.”

The Democrat controlled Mayor and Council of Hopewell Township later introduced an ordinance  “establishing the position of Police Director and amending section 2-2.10 of the Revised General Ordinances of Hopewell Township,” Under New Jersey law, a “Police Director” as opposed to a Police Chief cannot be a sworn law officer but is instead a civilian position and is prohibited from wearing a uniform or arresting people.

If you’re wondering what the future of policing in America looks like: this is it.
