In what’s become the legal version of a “Hail Mary” pass, Congress provided crucial information to the judge presiding over Hunter Biden’s criminal pseudo-case. They’re hoping she’ll catch the ball with one of those “immaculate reception” miracles and deny the playboy’s sweetheart plea deal. Half of America is holding their breath to see what Maryellen Noreika does on Wednesday, July 26.
Up to the judge
Whatever happens next is entirely up to District Judge Maryellen Noreika but it’s nice to know at least some of our lawmakers are out there fighting hard for the rights of Americans. The last thing the Deep State was expecting actually happened.
Congress found out about Hunter and Joe Biden’s real crimes before seemingly corrupt prosecutors could let everyone off the hook for them.
On the eve of the hearing where Judge Noreika is scheduled to rubber stamp “the sweetheart plea deal of the century,” the House Ways and Means Committee submitted the crucial evidence they gathered. That includes detailed testimony from two of the IRS investigators on the case, one of which is a supervisor.

The Committee explained, in a cover letter written by Chairman Jason Smith, that the supporting evidence and attachments show exactly how the investigation which produced that plea deal “was tainted.” As Smith wrote for the committee, “it is critical that the Court consider the Whistleblower Materials before determining whether to accept the Plea Agreement.”
There is one teeny little problem. Congress isn’t a party to the case. Only the allegedly corrupt prosecutors and the accused are. They’re all thrilled with the deal. Judge Noreika has the ability to allow the material into evidence as a “courtesy” and/or declare the Ways and Means Committee holds “friend of the court” status.
That’s something granted routinely to just about any outside party with a legitimate interest in the outcome of the case. Denying the request to review and consider the material wouldn’t look good for her. Not at all and everyone is watching closely.
No jail for anything
All of the major crimes including bribery, extortion, money laundering, tax evasion, child pornography, writing illegal prostitutes off on his taxes and a laundry list of other serious accusations were reduced to “two federal tax misdemeanors, for failing to pay taxes on time in 2017 and 2018.” He gets probation for that. He has a gun charge hanging over his head which would put him behind bars for years if he was a rap star instead of the son of the alleged president.
For that, he’ll do a drug diversion program. If he can stop leaving his coke laying around where the HAZMAT team can find it. If the judge approves it, he can never be charged for any of it again. It might even get everyone else in his family off at the same time. The family’s high paid consigliere is convinced that is already a done deal. He might be right and we’ll find out on Wednesday.
Judge Noreika clearly has the authority to “reject the plea agreement that was negotiated between Hunter Biden and the Justice Department, though that would be a surprising and unexpected move,” CNN suggests. Trump should be president too. We know who’s ice cream is clogging up the White House walk-in fridge.

The Ways and Means Committee collected serious testimony from the actual case investigators who “claimed Justice Department officials undercut their attempts to scrutinize Biden family members, slow-walked requests for subpoenas and search warrants, and blocked the U.S. attorney who oversaw the probe from bringing the felony tax evasion charges that they had recommended.”
U.S. attorney David Weiss, Attorney General Merrick Garland and other senior Justice Department officials swear up and down that Weiss had the authority to charge anything he wanted anywhere he wanted, he just didn’t want to.
The judge will be interested to learn that the Biden family mole, code named “One Eye” because former FBI director Louis Freeh only has one eye, not only tipped off Hunter’s Chinese associates they were under investigation, he’s a close buddy of one of the prosecutors assisting David Weiss.
