Once again, Joe Biden has lost his censorship case.
The administration keeps hoping for a different outcome, but at this point, every court has ruled against them.
The latest is an appeals court ruling that has ruled the administration was violating First Amendment rights when it ordered social media companies to censor Americans.
Shut Them Up
Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), which falls under the Department of Homeland Security, was created to protect Americans from foreign attacks.
The agency, however, has been turned against the American people.
Both during the election and the pandemic, Americans were being censored for daring to challenge the government.
And I am not talking about conspiracy theorists here, but legitimate and respected doctors who presented real-life studies that were simply removed so the American people would not doubt what the government was telling them.
At the heart of this was the CISA, which had been “suggesting” to social media outlets content that it may want to check out.
Now, we all know this is an implied order to shut it down, but the Biden administration has been trying to say it only pointed the finger, but it did not actually censor anyone, which is pure semantics.
It is like saying a Roman emperor who gave the thumbs-down signal had nothing to do with a failed gladiator being murdered in the coliseum.
He merely suggested to the victor that the loser should die, but he did not actually carry out the murder.
The court agreed that the CISA suggestions were, in fact, implied orders.
The ruling stated, “Thus, when the platforms acted to censor CISA-switchboarded content, they did not do so independently.
“Rather, the platforms’ censorship decisions were made under policies that CISA has pressured them into adopting and based on CISA’s determination of the veracity of the flagged information.
“Thus, CISA likely significantly encouraged the platforms’ content-moderation decisions and thereby violated the First Amendment.”
An injunction has now been placed against the CISA, stating, “If the allegations made by Plaintiffs are true, the present case arguably involves the most massive attack against free speech in United States’ history.
“In their attempts to suppress alleged disinformation, the Federal Government, and particularly the Defendants named here, are alleged to have blatantly ignored the First Amendment’s right to free speech.”
We are now very close to living in a communist state, and it will surely become one if the GOP does not get its act together and take this government back over in 2024.
