As the legal pundits in this country break down the indictment against Trump, there seems to be one common opinion.
The indictment can be described as thin, at best.
Well, Judge Jeanine Pirro broke it down a bit more than that.
Nothing Burger
If you read the indictment, you saw the strategy by Bragg was to stack a bunch of single-line entries in the ledger to make each of them a separate count.
This is all drama, as you would find that most DAs would have presented the entire case as one or two charges.
Bragg was also very vague in what crime this was meant to cover up as well as exactly who was defrauded in the transaction.
When Bragg was asked to clarify during his post-indictment press event, he had no answer for the media.
Judge Jeanine and the rest of the panel on “The Five” break it all down…
I feel pretty confident in saying that if this were anyone else any and in any other city, these charges would be dismissed as a felony with a motion filing.
This is New York, however, with a judge that has clearly shown a dislike of Trump, so I doubt that will happen.
We will get a much better idea of everything after the first wave of motions are filed.
If the judge does not dismiss this case and throws out all the motions, well, Trump could have a very difficult road ahead of him if Bragg manages to get this case into a courtroom.
