Raise your hand if you think little Mayor Pete is doing a good job as Transportation Secretary?

Wow, not a single hand is in the air.

That would be correct, though, as he was not qualified when he was nominated and we are now facing that horrible truth.

Excuses

From the very first moment this administration came into power, all we have heard are excuses.

Most of the time, it was deflection on the bad orange man.

Buttigieg went down that road when looking to place blame for the horrific derailment that took place in Ohio.

He stated, “Look, rail safety is something that has evolved a lot over the years, but there’s clearly more that needs to be done because while this horrible situation has gotten a particularly high amount of attention, there are roughly 1,000 cases a year of a train derailing.”

Buttigieg continued, “Obviously, they have levels of severity, but where all of that points us to is a need to continue to raise the bar on rail safety.

“And that’s especially true when it comes to rail that involves hazardous materials.

“Now this train was subject to certain enhanced requirements because of hazardous materials on board. But obviously, none of that prevented what happened in East Palestine.

“It’s one of the reasons we’re going to be paying very close attention to the findings that NTSB comes back with.”

Those comments came after Buttigieg appeared to blame the Trump administration for him being “constrained by law on some areas of rail regulation.”

By the way, little Petey decided to skip a big town hall in Ohio about the derailment.

He seems to like to hide just as much as Joe Biden does.
