The White House is doing another flip-flop to protect its fearless leader.
For most of the last two years, the administration has maintained that even though Joe goes to Delaware all the time, it is still work time.
Now, because we want visitor logs, the White House is saying that Joe’s residence is personal.
That Does Not Fly
This narrative got started back when Jen Psaki was the White House Press Secretary.
It was only a week into Joe Biden’s presidency that he started going back to Delaware on the weekends.
When Psaki was asked about it, she stated, “I will note that, while every president can work from anywhere they are because that is how presidencies are equipped, he is traveling to Delaware for the memorial service of a family member. And he will be — that is why he’s traveling there this weekend.
“The president has the capacity to make a secure call from anywhere he is, yes.”
Well, that narrative just changed.
To try to justify not keeping visitor logs at Joe’s house, even though we know he has had business meetings there, the White House is flipping the script on this narrative.
White House counsel is now saying, “Like every president in decades of modern history, his personal residence is personal.”
I guess that is what you do when you find out classified documents were sitting next to the gardening tools in the garage.
