Biden supporters from the #TexasTrumpTrain or #TexasBumperCars incident of October 2020 almost exactly a year later have brought a federal lawsuit against the San Marcos, TX Police Department, the City of San Marcos, Matthew Daenzer, a San Marcos police corporal on duty at the time and San Marcos assistant police chief Brandon Winkenwerder. They are alleging that “San Marcos refused to help,” when a Biden campaign bus and caravan were surrounded by drivers of the pro-Trump #TrumpTrain on I-35 between San Marcos and San Antonio, Texas. New 911 transcript evidence has emerged that has leftists up in arms. Simply put, San Marcos Police, with zero prior warning were suddenly expected to launch an escort of the Biden caravan through the I-35 because they ‘felt threatened’ though at the time of the calls no actual crime had occurred. In fact: the only disruption visible from the footage is from a Biden supporter colliding with a Trump supporter’s vehicle while attempting to run them off the road.
Both drivers of the Biden-Harris caravan and the #TrumpTrain were driving aggressively, culminating in a fender bender that made international headlines with stories insinuating the Trump supporters were attempting to run the bus off the road, a narrative that collapsed under critical examination of video evidence. Check out this painstaking analysis of the video:
Police Refused to Escort Biden Bus – For Good Reason
The 911 transcripts and reports from the San Marcos PD were extremely revealing, of an unrealistic set of expectations from the Democrat campaign. They seem to believe that because Texans are following them displaying Trump flags and driving aggressively (Welcome to Texas…) they are automatically entitled to a police escort that no one pre-arranged… really they come out of this sounding like hyperbolic, entitled brats. It gets even worse when you realize that the Biden campaign bus cut off a driver and the following SUV actually rammed one of the Trump supporter’s vehicles in an attempt to force itself behind the bus and force the Trump supporter off the road.
Texas Tribune reports,
“When the Biden bus entered San Marcos’ jurisdiction, a New Braunfels 911 dispatcher attempted to get San Marcos police to take over the escort that city had provided along Interstate 35.
The 911 dispatcher in San Marcos put the New Braunfels dispatcher and the Biden campaign staffer who was pleading for assistance on hold and called Daenzer, the police supervisor on duty.
“I am so annoyed at New Braunfels for doing this to us,” the dispatcher tells Daenzer, who answered the call and began laughing, according to the transcribed recording in the filing. “They have their officers escorting this Biden bus, essentially, and the Trump Train is cutting in between vehicles and driving — being aggressive and slowing them down to like 20 or 30 miles per hour. And they want you guys to respond to help.”
“No, we’re not going to do it. We will ‘close patrol’ that, but we’re not going to escort a bus,” Daenzer responds.
The transcript shows that the 911 dispatcher passes along information about the sense of danger expressed by the Biden campaign staffer who called for assistance as he was trying to caravan behind the bus in a white SUV.”
“[T]hey’re like really worked up over it and he’s like breathing hard and stuff, like, ‘they’re being really aggressive.’ Okay. Calm down,” she said to Daenzer.
The transcription shows that Daenzer said the Biden bus should “drive defensively and it’ll be great.”
“Or leave the train,” the 911 dispatcher responds. “There’s an idea.” According to the transcription in the complaint, the dispatcher gets back on the phone with the Biden staffer and tells him there would be no escort.
“If you feel like you’re being threatened or your life is threatened, definitely call us back,” she told him.
“Are you kidding me, ma’am?” the staffer responded before saying “they’ve threatened my life on multiple occasions with vehicular collision” and again asking for an escort.
The dispatcher repeated that officers would be there to monitor traffic infractions, but said there would be no escort and indicated that decision was made by a high-ranking police official the lawsuit claims is Winkenwerder.”
“Despite these multiple calls for help from Plaintiffs and others, for the roughly 30 minutes it took to drive through San Marcos on the main highway that runs through it, there were no officers from San Marcos or any other police cars in sight–not on the I-35 exit or entrance ramps, nor on either side of the highway,” the filing read.
According to 911 transcripts released by the Tribune, the “Biden campaign staffer who called for assistance” was “trying to caravan behind the bus in a white SUV”… the very same vehicle which analysis of the video shows: attempted to ram a Trump supporter in a black pick up truck off of the I-35. Isn’t that interesting? Perhaps they doth protest too much?
