A couple of Marines were just trying to do the right thing.
For getting involved, they got jumped and pummeled by a huge mob of teenagers.
Once again, bystanders were too busy taking video to help.
Knock It Off
According to the reports, the Marines were trying to get a bunch of teenagers from being unruly.
The kids were reportedly firing off firecrackers in a crowd at the beach.
One of the Marines asked the kids to stop.
Then, one of the kids reportedly threw something at the Marines, hitting one of them in the head.
Then everything went sideways.
The kids ran after the Marines for some mob justice, and this is what took place…

Eventually, some people jumped in and chased the kids away, but the Marines were already beaten up.
Orange County Sgt. Mike Woodroof stated, “The Orange County Sheriff’s Department will continue investigating this matter until all individuals responsible are identified and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
Here is the local report…
San Clemente Mayor Chris Duncan added, “Look, this is San Clemente, Marines are always welcome here, always gonna be celebrated, always be taken care of. And that’s why this is so particularly tragic.”
These kids today are absolutely out of control, as this is hardly an isolated incident.
