UFC Fighter Details Stopping Carjacker in WILD Chase

UFC fighter Kevin Holland was just driving through a neighborhood when he witnessed a carjacking, and sprang into action, following the criminal and eventually subduing him until police arrived.

Speaking with TMZ Sports about the incident, Holland detailed chasing a would-be carjacker in his own car before pursuing him on foot and holding him down until police arrived.

“Some guy comes zooming out of the parking lot and a guy is running behind him like, ‘Yo, he stole my car!’ So I was like, ‘yo, I’ve been quarantined for a week, I didn’t get to finish my fight, so let’s go have a little fun,’” Holland said.

He then described following the stolen car through the neighborhood, which ended in a foot pursuit when the suspect crashed the vehicle. Holland caught up to the man and took him down easily.

“I kick his legs from underneath him… get on top, knee on belly… The guy’s like ‘I can’t breathe,’ and I’m like oh, I don’t wanna be like that one cop that, you know what I mean… So I like, pick him up, put him over here, give him a little Khabib choke-hold, you know what I’m sayin. Put him on the curb. Then all of a sudden the police popped up,” the UFC fighter said.

It is possible that Holland’s citizen’s arrest may be recognized by local law enforcement.

A short video was taken after the police arrived.

According to Holland’s coach, Shug Dorsey, this isn’t a rare occurrence, the UFC fighter apparently does a lot of good deeds in his community.

“He always does (things like this),” Dorsey said. “People only see certain things. People only see what’s put in the media. There’s been several instances where he’s helped people out. It’s nothing new to me. If he sees somebody in a bad situation, he’s going to render aid.”
