Donald Trump made a big change this week, and I think it caught everyone off guard.
Trump announced that he was going to change the tone of his nomination speech at the convention.
After seeing the attacks by Biden and Democrats the last few days, I am just not sure that it was the right move.
Flipping the Script
After the assassination attempt, it appears that Trump and Biden shared a call.
While the details of the call were not released, it appears that they agreed to tamper things down a bit.
Trump stated, “The speech I was going to give on Thursday was going to be a humdinger.
“Had this not happened, this would’ve been one of the most incredible speeches” aimed mostly at the policies of President Joe Biden.
“Honestly, it’s going to be a whole different speech now.”
He also posted on Truth Social, “This is a chance to bring the whole country, even the whole world, together.
“The speech will be a lot different, a lot different than it would’ve been two days ago.”
I agree with him completely, but it does not appear that Democrats are backing down at all.
From what I have seen, it has been full steam ahead on the attacks after just one day of breaks.
I just watched an interview with Joe Biden where he immediately went on the attack against Trump.
My guess here is that the Dems have seen polls that show Trump getting a major bump.
Between the convention and the assassination attempt, Trump is seeing some major movement and a lot of conservatives that were on the fence are now openly stating they are going to vote for Trump.
And we all know what Dems do when they panic about Trump… they go for the throat.
This could actually work in Trump’s favor, as it will show he is taking the high ground while Dems are resorting to tearing apart a man who was just an inch away from dying.
