Donald Trump recently opened up about former First Lady Melania Trump in a SiriusXM podcast with Megyn Kelly, revealing that she is doing very well and is “very strong, very even-keeled, and she’s a very good woman.” It was clear from the conversation that he has immense respect for her and regards her highly as a person, wife, and mother.
His comments provide an interesting insight into their relationship and how it has continued to remain strong since they left the White House.
Trump shared his admiration of Melania in the interview by mentioning her popularity amongst his supporters at rallies who held pictures of her with captions like “We love our first lady”.
This further speaks to how beloved she was during their time in the White House despite having kept a low profile compared to other first ladies before her.
When asked about what people misunderstand about Melania, Trump replied: “I think part of the beauty is that mystery”.
This rings true when one considers Melania’s public persona which often borders on reclusive – she never did an interview during her time as First Lady after all.
He went on to compare her to Greta Garbo – Hollywood’s legendary recluse – saying that while he didn’t see Melanie as quite like Garbo, she had confidence and didn’t need “to be ripped apart for no reason.”
In addition to being supportive politically through backing his third bid for presidency, Page Six reported last August that behind closed doors friends whisper that Melania helps keep Donald “calm and focused” amid trying times such as legal assaults against him.
They reportedly have breakfast together daily with Barron and share a life full of love, strength, peace, faithfulness, trustworthiness; values which are evidently important elements in maintaining any successful marriage.
Fox News reported that when asked if she will be serving America again if Donald wins reelection, Melania revealed that not only does she have his support but she looks forward to leading the nation with love and strength towards greatness once again.
She also spoke about prioritizing initiatives around children’s well-being which speaks volumes about who she is both privately and publicly.
