Over the last week, Donald Trump has been spitting pure venom at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Trump is upset because when DeSantis was asked about running for president, he stated that he was concentrating on the present.
Honestly, what else was he supposed to say after just winning his election?
In Trump’s eyes, he was supposed to commit to not running if Trump runs.
Silence is Golden
Trump has now on multiple occasions slammed DeSantis.
He also went after Governor Youngkin.
Youngkin offered a brief statement, but he did not fire back directly at Trump.
DeSantis is taking a different approach in not saying a word.
Not to the media, not to Trump… nothing.
To me, that silence is powerful, simply because he knows it will drive Trump batshi** crazy.
Now allies and family members of Trump’s are starting to fire at DeSantis.
If they expect this to win them favor with anyone but Trump’s base, they are sadly mistaken.
Trump may win the primary, but he still needs those voters to put him in the White House again and I can assure you, he will not get them by trying to destroy the future of the party, which is exactly what Youngkin and DeSantis are.
