Donald Trump just took a gut shot from yet another former cabinet member in the Defense Department.

Former Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller is calling Trump a liar.

During January 6 Select Committee testimony, Miller stated that everything Trump said about ordering up troops for the rally was a lie.

Gut Shot

The problem here is that the committee is not corroborating testimony at all.

They are only taking witnesses to help them make their case, and they are doing so in prime-time.

Case in point, Miller testified, “I was never given any direction or order or knew of any plans of that nature.

“So I was surprised by seeing that publicly but I don’t know the context or even where it was.”

Then he made Trump look like a complete fool.

When Miller was asked about an order to have 10,000 troops available, he stated, “A non-military person probably could have some sort of weird interpretation, but no.

“The answer to your question is no.”

Now, my understanding of how all this went down was that Trump had asked if they wanted the troops activated, but he was turned down.

I don’t believe Trump ever said he “ordered” the troops himself.

Guard troops would have to be activated by local authorities, so this can be quite muddled.

Trump suggested that very narrative on Truth Social, posting, “The Unselect Committee has now learned that I, as President suggested and offered up to 20,000 National Guard, or troops, be deployed in D.C. because it was felt that the crowd was going to be very large.

“Crazy Nancy Pelosi turned down the offer, she didn’t like the way it looked.

“Likewise, the Mayor of D.C.

“Had they taken up the offer, there would have been no January 6.

“The Unselects have ruled Pelosi ‘off limits, no questions.’

“The hearing is another political HOAX to counter inflation etc.”

Read what Trump said again, and you will see that he never claims to have ordered the troops to be sent, just that he offered them to be available and the offer was turned down.

See how this gets muddy and see how twisted the committee is in purposely directing this narrative?

This is a situation where both sides could be telling the truth.

The committee asked a question that was framed around a bogus narrative. Did Trump order the troops? No, because he never did. He OFFERED the troops, but they were refused… so deceitful, that is what this committee is.
