For some reason, Joe Biden is getting blind loyalty from our military leaders.
They are now willing to take the heat for his own failings.
To that point, Air Force Gen. Glen D. VanHerck, the head of North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and U.S. Northern Command (NORTHCOM), seems ready to eat a bullet for Biden.
I Failed
If you have been watching the news, you know the new narrative is that three Chinese spy balloons traversed the United States airspace when Trump was president, and nobody knew about it.
This is the narrative being put out so Joe Biden does not look so bad for waiting until the balloon went out over the Atlantic before shooting it down.
General VanHerck is taking responsibility for failing to detect the alleged balloons.
He stated, “As NORAD commander, it’s my responsibility to detect threats to North America.
“I will tell you that we did not detect those threats.
“And that’s a domain awareness gap that we have to figure out.”
He also tried to defend Biden for waiting so long to shoot this one down.
He stated, “From a safety standpoint, picture yourself with large debris weighing hundreds if not thousands of pounds falling out of the sky.
“That’s really what we’re kind of talking about.
“So, glass off of solar panels, potentially hazardous material, such as material that is required for batteries to operate in such an environment as this and even the potential for explosives to detonate and destroy the balloon that could have been present.”
So, there were no empty fields over the course of this thing moving across the country where it could have been safely shot down?
I don’t know about you, but I am not buying what he is selling.

I understand loyalty to a superior but in my opinion when something like this happens, the person responsible for oversight needs to speak up on what should be done. He should retire and the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Secretary of Defense be repaced because of their turning the military into a disaster.
