Remember that letter from more than 50 intelligence officials that discredited the New York Post story about the Hunter Biden laptop?
Well, one of them has just come forward.
His admission is shocking, to say the least.
The Letter
Douglas Wise is a former Defense Intelligence Agency deputy director and former senior CIA operations officer.
He was among the 50-plus officials that penned a letter tagging the laptop story as Russian disinformation.
The original letter, in part, stated, “We are all individuals who devoted significant portions of our lives to national security… We are all also individuals who see Russia as one of our nation’s primary adversaries.
“All of us have an understanding of the wide range of Russian overt and covert activities that undermine US national security, with some of us knowing Russian behavior intimately, as we worked to defend our nation against it for a career… Perhaps most important, each of us believes deeply that American citizens should determine the outcome of elections, not foreign governments.
“It is for all these reasons that we write to say that the arrival on the US political scene of emails purportedly belonging to Vice President Biden’s son Hunter, much of it related to his time serving on the Board of the Ukrainian gas company Burisma, has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.”
For the record, not a single one of them had even sniffed the laptop in question.
Wise is singing a much different tune today.
Over the weekend, he told The Australian, “All of us figured that a significant portion of that content had to be real to make any Russian disinformation credible.”
So, correct me if I am wrong, but did he not just admit that a huge group of high-profile intelligence officials knowingly lied to help Joe Biden in the election?
By now, you have surely seen the polls on how voting would have been impacted in the 2020 election if people had access to that story and it had been confirmed.
Say what you want, but I believe the deep state to be alive and well in our government.
