Three Vulnerable Senate Dems Skipping DNC, Avoiding Kamala

Three Vulnerable Senate Dems Avoiding Kamala at ALL Costs

Three vulnerable Democrats who represent red states in the U.S. Senate are reportedly going to skip the upcoming Democrat National Convention (DNC) in Chicago as part of a desperate bid to trick voters into keeping them in office.

As the Democrat Party continues to move further and further to the left, many Democrat lawmakers who are considered vulnerable in the November election due to their state becoming more conservative have begun trying to distance themselves from their party. Of course, many of these Democrats vote with the far-left the vast majority of the time — then try to move to the center in the lead-up to their reelection campaigns.

On August 19, Democrats across the country will head to the DNC in Chicago, Illinois — which will likely be overshadowed by rampant crime in the deep-blue city and the planned protests from anti-Israel activists, which are predicted to devolve into riots — but at least three Democrats will be avoiding the convention.

According to Punchbowl News, Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) will not be in attendance. Brown has expressed support for Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democrat presidential nominee, but has thus far been keeping his distance from the Harris campaign — as his reelection is far from certain in the increasingly red state of Ohio while facing a challenge from Republican businessman Bernie Moreno. The outlet also reported that Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) is skipping the DNC. Tester has not endorsed Harris, especially in light of the fact that he narrowly won reelection in 2018 by just 17,913 votes in a state that former President Donald Trump won by 20 points. Tester is facing a tough challenge from retired Navy SEAL Tim Sheehy. Both Brown and Tester are widely considered to be the most vulnerable incumbents seeking reelection in the Senate this year.

Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-NV) is also facing a difficult reelection battle against Republican former Army Captain Sam Brown, a Purple Heart recipient, and has decided not to attend the DNC, the Nevada Independent reported. However, Rosen will be joining Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) at their Las Vegas rally scheduled for August 10. While the vulnerable Democrat senator had kept distance between herself and President Joe Biden, the Washington Examiner reported that she “appears to be testing the waters on attaching herself to the Harris-Walz ticket in November.”

Democrats currently have a slim majority in the Senate, holding just 51 seats thanks to the four supposed “independent” senators who caucus with Democrats — but Republicans have a significant chance of taking back the Senate in November because Democrats are considered to be vulnerable in several states.
