Locals in Kenner, LA, were horrified when a local man was brutally murdered.
A local handyman, 66-year-old Lawrence Herr, was repairing a mailbox for a client when the unthinkable happened.
He was shot and killed, but the two suspects in the shooting have now been arrested.
Shots Fired
When the call came in, police rushed to the scene to find Herr lying in the driveway, shot.
He was taken to a local hospital and later pronounced dead.
Thankfully, local police were provided with a photo that showed the car being driven by the alleged shooters.
The two suspects, 25-year-old Maurice Holmes and 23-year-old Tahj Matthews, have now been apprehended and charged with first-degree murder.
Tahj Matthews, 23, and Maurice Holmes, 25, brutally murdered an innocent handyman, Lawrence Herr, in a Louisiana town on April 10. Motive? Law enforcement say the two men wanted to “kill a white person.”

There appears to be no motive other than the suspects out on the prowl to shoot someone.
Kenner Police Chief Keith Conley stated, “One of them made a statement that they just wanted to kill somebody that day.”
Conley added, “He had no idea what was going on.
“He was still conscious when the first responders got there.
“Basically, he was in dismay and in shock but he assumed he had been shot.”
If there was ever a case to use the death penalty to set an example, this is surely it.
