Yaser Said is guilty.
This is the utterly disgusting man who “honor killed” his two teenage daughters in Texas because they rebelled against the Egyptian culture and Muslim religion.
For some reason, prosecutors did not seek the death penalty, so he will get life in prison.
Horrifying
Sadly, his two daughters, 18-year-old Amina Said and 17-year-old Sarah Said, predicted this would happen.
Said was upset about the dating habits of his daughters.
The mother reportedly tried to get them away from the father who was making their lives miserable.
Only days before the murders, an email from Amina Said was sent to one of her teachers, she stated, “He will, without any drama nor doubt, kill us.”
On New Year’s Day 2008, the girls were found shot to death in a hotel.
The discovery was made after Sarah had called 9-1-1 and told the operator that her father had shot her and she was dying.
That call was played for the jurors in the case.
Sarah had been shot nine times and Amina twice.
It took 12 years to find and arrest Yaser, but he was finally caught in a Dallas suburb, with his brother and son also charged for helping evade capture.
If there were ever a case to make an example by putting someone to death, this would have been it, but prosecutors are going to allow this horrible man to live, albeit in prison, for the rest of his life.
