A missing U.S. Navy sailor that had been reported missing just after St. Patrick’s Day has been found.
Unfortunately, this is not a happy ending.
Seamus Gray, 21, was found dead in the Waukegan Harbor Wednesday night.
Sad Day
Gray had last been seen out the day after St. Patrick’s Day.
There were pictures of him on social media having a green beer while at a bar in Waukegan.
He was last spotted at the Metra station, then he just disappeared.
When he missed his curfew, reports were filed and the search began.
The body was spotted in the water by local ComEd workers, then authorities were dispatched to pull the body from the harbor.
A quick ID was made the coroner, who is now conducted an autopsy to discover the exact cause of death.
His mother stated, “The last 8 days have been grueling, nauseating, heartbreaking and quite honestly soul-crushing.
“This boy is my heart, my world, my love of my life along with his little brother Deck.
“As I type this I’m trying not to throw up.
“I cannot sleep, and will not sleep until I have answers as to where my son is, and what happened to him.”
