If a conservative said about any black person what Joy Behar of “The View” just said about Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.), they would be forced to resign.
We all knew that the moment Scott entered this race, he would get hammered by liberals as a race traitor and Uncle Tom.
Behar, however, took it to a different level.
He’s Doesn’t Know
Scott does not and never did buy into this victimhood angle.
As far as he is concerned, if you are not successful in today’s world, it is because you did not work hard enough.
Scott’s grandfather literally picked cotton, but here is Scott, a United States Senator, and a very well-liked one at that.
But, since he does not toe the line, he instantly becomes a target and unlike a conservative being accused of being a racist for criticizing any minority, white liberals can say whatever they want about him.
Goldberg accused him of having “Clarence Thomas Syndrome,” which liberal code for being an Uncle Tom.
Behar took it even further.
She stated, “He’s one of these guys, who, you know, he’s like [Supreme Court Justice] Clarence Thomas, black Republican, believes in pulling yourself by your bootstraps rather than, to me, understanding the systemic racism that African Americans face in this country, and other minorities.
“He doesn’t get it; neither does Clarence, and that’s why they’re Republicans.”
She basically said if you are not lazy, you are not black… how else can that ridiculous statement be interpreted.
