Summer Richardson, a.k.a. Mrs. Swoop, is the blonde bombshell behind Swoop Motorsports, which is a drag racing team that she started in 2018.
Before Summer Richardson began racing on land, she first made a name for herself on the water as a powerboat driver. Actually, she achieved multiple records as the fastest solo female powerboat driver.
“Mrs. Swoop” began her racing career driving performance boats in the 1-mile shootout events in both Lake Havasu and Lake of the Ozarks.
Richardson even set a world record in 2016, reaching a top speed of 185 miles per hour on a 388 Skater powerboat.
But, as boating accidents continued to surge, Summer began realizing that water sports were becoming too dangerous. Still, she wanted to continue racing somehow.
So, the blonde bombshell decided to join the drag racing world with her now-husband, Travis Richardson, and her father, Don London.
According to an article from Rally Is Life, “It was fate that brought Mrs. Swoop to the drag racing world, coincidentally the Top Fuel driver Shawn Langdon’s dad, Chad Langdon, was selling his entire Super Comp operation, which became the perfect fit for her drag racing career.”
So, “Mrs. Swoop” took advantage of that opportunity and starting a racing team, Swoop Motorsports, which has five cars in its fleet, and she started racing in the Super Comp and Top Dragster classes.
Summer’s career quickly took off. She began her drag racing career in 2018, and went on to participate in the NHRA Division 7 Sportsman class in Super Comp. Then, in 2019, she got licensed in Top Dragster, and ran SC and TD in 2020, and has set her sights on Top Fuel.
Clearly, this blonde bombshell can do anything she sets her mind to. While she isn’t in a bikini on a powerboat anymore, she still looks smoking hot in a race car.
