A suicide attack has been carried out in Pakistan.
A local mosque was hit during morning prayers.
According to reports, there were upwards of 150 people inside.
Complete Devastation
When the bomb was detonated, it ended up collapsing the ceiling on virtually everyone that was inside.
There are already 20 confirmed deaths and at least 100 injuries, with quite a few of them in critical condition.
So far, no groups have claimed responsibility.
However, there is speculation that the Pakistani Taliban, who are known as Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan or TTP, is responsible.
This insurgent group has been terrorizing Pakistan for about 15 years.
The attack was carried out in the city of Peshawar, which is in northwestern Pakistan.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has vowed “stern action” against the culprits.
Former Prime Minister Imran Khan added, “My prayers & condolences go to victims’ families. It is imperative we improve our intelligence gathering & properly equip our police forces to combat the growing threat of terrorism.”
