A top Ohio Democrat created a wave of panic within the party.
Her blunt diagnosis of the 2024 outcome did not sit well with many.
In fact, she has already started to apologize for her comments.

Sharon Sweda, the leader of the Democratic Party in Lorain County in Ohio, was very blunt about Joe Biden and the 2024 election.
She stated, “He is in a period of his life where passing and death is imminent.”
She added, “We are all on a ticking clock.
“But when you’re at his age or at Trump’s age, that clock is ticking a little faster, and that’s a concern for voters.”
Sweda further stated, “The worst-case scenario is we get past the nominating process with President Biden as the nominee, and then he’s no longer able to continue on as the nominee.
“That’s the nightmare scenario for Democrats.”
Well, Republicans are kind of in the same situation.
Imagine if Trump wins the nomination, as it appears he will, then he gets convicted and winds up in prison.
As we noted above, Sweda tried to explain her comments later, and even apologized for them, but she has nothing to apologize for here.
Every poll out there shows that voters are very concerned about Biden’s age and want someone else to be the candidate.
Yet, at the same time, virtually all of them agree they will vote for Biden if he is on the ballot.
