Danielle Colby, co-star of the popular reality TV show American Pickers, posted some steamy underwater pictures for her fans on her Instagram page.
Captioning the photos, the American Pickers star shared a quote describing how she felt “bizarre and flawed” in her bikini pictures, as she has just begun to open up about her insecurities after the firing of one of her co-stars, Frank Fritz.
Colby posted a picture of herself swimming away from the camera, showing off her toned body in a bikini. In the caption, she shared this Frida Khalo quote:
“I used to think I was the strangest person in the world but then I thought there are so many people in the world, there must be someone just like me who feels bizarre and flawed in the same ways I do. I would imagine her, and imagine that she must be out there thinking of me too. Well, I hope that if you are out there and read this and know that, yes, it’s true I’m here, and I’m just as strange as you.”
Along with the quote, Colby told her fans that the “flashback Friday” photo was taken while she was “swimming with the Blue Tang.”
The American Pickers star had shared more pictures from the same swimming trip in the past, along with the story behind her decision to swim with the Blue Tang.
Colby wrote:
“Today I begin my commitment to marine biology. This is why I moved to Puerto Rico and it has taken 3 years of living here full time, learning the language (getting better at that), acclimating, prioritizing and researching the history of this part of the world to get to this point. Starting with online classes is the only way for me as I am still working on American Pickers and will be traveling over the next year or so. We will see where the future takes us all. I’m sure it will be an adventure. When Covid hit I was sure my dream of studying the Ocean would die but the dust is clearing enough for me to see my path clearly again. Each day that we film and photograph in the ocean I’m watching for changes in the environment and wildlife. The changes are always there, sometimes subtle and other times drastic. I’m thankful or this magical island and all she is teaching me about history, conservation and humility. I came to do the work and now I finally get to dig deeper into the important research. Each day is an opportunity to unlearn old ways that no longer serve my process and embrace new, healthy thinking and living. I’m learning to trust the process, even when it’s ugly, even when I’m afraid. Trust the process and don’t give up on yourself. It’s never too late to learn or unlearn.”
