If you are a golf fan, today is a bad day.
Andy Bean, winner of 11 PGA tour events and a fan favorite, passed away on October 14.
Bean was 70 years old.

Bean had struggled with his health after a COVID infection.
He then had lung replacement surgery about six weeks ago.
Sadly, he just never recovered and now he is gone.
Bean was an amazing college player at the University of Florida.
In addition to winning the Championship in 1973, he was also a three-time All-American and inducted in the Florida Hall of Fame.
After leaving college, Bean entered the pro ranks.
It did not take him long to notch his first win, taking the Doral-Eastern Open in 1975.
His best year was 1978 in terms of wins, getting the trophy three times that year.
Over the next eight years, he would win at least one tournament in six of them.
Bean also enjoyed some success in the PGA Champions Tour, then called the Senior Tour.
He would win three times, which included the 2008 Charles Schwab Cup Championship.
Golf Channel’s Rich Lerner stated, “Golf lost a good one. Andy Bean passed away at 70.
“Gentle giant, Bermuda grass specialist with 4 of his 11 Ws in FL. Gator legend.
“Man of great faith, generous heart, loved fishing and family.
“Condolences to wife Debbie, their three children and all the grandkids.”
Rest in peace, sir.
