The fight over President Joe Biden’s impeachment continues to grow in intensity.

Now, shocking news has just come in that another GOP senator is speaking out against the proceedings.

Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) has voiced his opposition to the ongoing efforts, joining a growing list of GOP senators expressing skepticism about the impeachment inquiry.

Tuberville’s stance comes as a blow to House Republicans and further complicates an already precarious situation.

Speaking on NBC’s “Meet The Press NOW,” Tuberville emphasized that it is important to have a solid case before moving forward with such proceedings.

He also expressed doubt about the Senate’s ability to secure enough votes to convict Biden, saying, “I know that wouldn’t make it to anywhere over here in the Senate. That probably wouldn’t even — wouldn’t even let it make it to the floor.”

For these reasons, he asserted that he was not in favor of impeachment unless there was an ironclad case against Biden.

Drawing parallels between this situation and former President Trump’s own impeachment proceedings, he emphasized the need for clarity and truth in order for any kind of actionable outcome to be reached.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer did not hold back his thoughts on impeaching Biden either – labeling this move as “absurd.”

In addition, Representative Matt Gaetz of Florida took aim at House Speaker McCarthy – accusing him of failing to uphold promises made earlier this year.

These criticisms point towards growing tensions within the Republican Party over direction and leadership which could pose a threat if not handled properly.

It remains unclear what will happen next given how delicately poised power is right now – leaving many uncertain about what might come out of all this commotion in terms of tangible results from these proceedings or otherwise.
