Heading into the general election next year, President Joe Biden has been facing a desperate struggle to avoid having to face former President Donald Trump head-to-head.

Unfortunately for the current president, recent polls suggest that his troubles are just beginning.

According to the latest poll, President Donald Trump is dominating in the race against current President Joe Biden for next year’s general election.

The Premise Data survey shows that Trump has a seven-point lead with 41% compared to 34% of voters supporting Biden and 25% undecided.

This gap continues to widen as years of inflation have taken their toll on Biden’s job performance.

The poll findings show that Trump has maintained a steady lead over Biden for some time now, and this is likely due to his ability to capitalize on public sentiment about the economy which continues to remain “fair” or “poor” among 82 percent of respondents.

Additionally, he appears well prepared for the Republican party primary debate later this month, holding 57 percent support among 484 likely GOP primary voters.

Biden will need to act quickly if he hopes to remain competitive in the upcoming election.

He must focus on regaining Black voter confidence while simultaneously assuaging any concerns about his age by appearing strong and capable throughout his campaign moving forward.

To do this he may consider allowing Vice President Kamala Harris or Robert F. Kennedy Jr., both younger leaders than himself, take over the top spot on the ticket as an alternative option should his numbers continue to falter leading up Election Day.
