We have some good news and some bad news.
The good news is that one gubernatorial candidate seems to have his race locked up.
We also have a Senator that has flipped the script and is now leading.
The bad news is that we also appear to be losing a seat we were winning a few weeks ago.
Big Turns
Governor Brian Kemp is finally getting some distance on Stacey Abrams.
The latest Fox News poll now has him comfortably up by seven points.
I don’t know if Stacey Abrams has packed it in or not, but she has been pretty quiet, so I really don’t see that race changing much.
Staying in Georgia, sadly, Herschel Walker is now losing by five points to Senator Warnock (D-GA).
Walker had actually taken the lead at one point, but he has been tripping over his own feet.
Now, his entire race rests on his debate performance, but I doubt he can get five points out of a debate unless he really drops a bombshell.
Finally, in Wisconsin, Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) has gone from trailing to leading by five points, according to the most recent AARP poll.
We may steal that governor’s race as well, as Republican Tim Michels is currently leading Governor Tony Evers, but it is within the margin of error.
Right now, all of the Trump newcomers in the Senate are losing, with Walker (GA), Oz (PA), Masters (AZ), and Vance (OH) trailing in their respective races.
If they all lose, that is not a good sign for Trump in 2024.
