Nadine Menendez had a skeleton fall out of her closet, just in time for Halloween. Before she married Senator Robert Menendez, she had help from “the former director of Hackensack Police” to evade sobriety tests. He took pity on her standing there shivering in her fur coat, after plowing down Richard Koop in December 2018, so helped expedite her removal from the scene.
Nadine has a past of her own
Well, well, well, conservatives chuckle. Nadine might not be the sweet and innocent bystander to the alleged Egyptian bribery as she seems. The public isn’t that surprised to learn Bob Menendez has been accused of selling favors for kilo weight gold bars.
His wife’s already implicated in taking a low or no work job after a big meeting Bob had with the Egyptian military. Now, we learn that she had a scandal and cover-up of her own, before she even married him. They must make quite a couple.
Now that the pair is in the news, The New York Post went digging into old records and uncovered an entirely separate scandal. They came across records revealing that “Michael Mordaga, the former director of Hackensack Police and an ex-chief of detectives in the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, was on the scene within minutes when Nadine Arslanian slammed her black Mercedes into Richard Koop in Bogota, NJ, in December 2018.”

There was no sobriety test and she walked away with her phone. That wasn’t normal procedure but New Jersey cops know better than to question their superiors. Such insubordination could turn out to be a fatal mistake. “I believe we’re good to release her, as soon as she grabs her stuff from her car,” the Bogota police officer can be heard assuring on the video.
Mordaga “helped her leave behind the totaled car and take her belongings from it after quizzing the patrolman dealing with the crash on what he planned to do.” He planned to do whatever Mordaga wanted him to do. The dashcam video still exists and confirms the tale. The 911 tapes back it up, too. One thing stands out clearly.
There isn’t one shred of evidence that Nadine was “asking after the victim.” He was the least of her worries. What the evidence does verify is “her refusing to have her cellphone searched.” She didn’t even bother to call 911 until cops were already on the scene. When she did, she reported the crash as in the neighboring town. That’s an easy mistake to make. Especially if you’ve been drinking.
Shivering in her fur
Nadine was dating Menendez at the time, but not exclusively. She was also hanging around with Douglas Anton, “an attorney who went on to represent R. Kelly in his sex trafficking trial.” It’s not clear who summoned Mordaga to the location but before he got there, the dashcam clearly shows “Arslanian shivering in her fur coat and short dress as she was questioned by a Bogota, NJ, patrolman about how Richard Koop’s death happened.” One witness claimed “she told cops she was going to call someone for help.”
That was probably her lawyer boyfriend but could have been her new boyfriend, the senator, just as easily. “I don’t even know her. That’s my buddy’s wife who’s friends with her. He said could you do me a favor and take her up there because her friend just got in a car accident,” Mordaga told the patrol officer.
Everything in the universe seems to be connected at some fundamental level so it’s no surprise that the car Nadine ended up with, as a replacement for the one she totaled into Richard Koop, became one of the core counts in the bribery indictment against her and Bob.

She was never held to account, instead, she got a beautiful brand new Mercedes via bribe.

Both of them are charged in connection with allegedly accepting “bribes, including gold bars, in exchange for helping three businessmen, Wael Hana, Jose Uribe and Fred Daibes, and the country of Egypt.” The alleged bribery totals “hundreds of thousands.” The indictment also lists “a 2019 Mercedes C-Class.”
About a month after killing Mr. Koop, Nadine “texted Wael Hana, an Egyptian-American businessman also indicted in the bribery scheme, about the loss of her car, and he later provided her with a 2019 Mercedes-Benz C-300 convertible, worth $60,000.”
Until the dots got connected with the bribery scheme, nobody knew she ran someone over without facing any consequences for it at all. “Sheri Breen, an attorney for Koop’s estate,” relates that “other footage from a business” shows that Nadine “moved her car around his body as he was lying in the road and she did not come to his aid or to even check on him.”
