Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) is supposed to be for free speech and doing right by your constituents.
As time has passed, I have become more and more cautious about him.
I respect the hell out of the man for what he did as a Navy SEAL, but with every passing day, he is starting to remind more of John McCain.
Just Follow the Line
Crenshaw is upset because there are 18 members of the House (and growing), that do not want McCarthy as the Speaker.
If he is the Speaker, they want some concessions to give him their vote.
McCarthy has pretty much told them all to go pound sand, so they are sticking to their guns and refusing to vote for McCarthy.
In fact, in three attempts, McCarthy only went backward in voting, not getting close to the 218 he needs, but still refusing to give an inch.
Then Crenshaw went on TV lying about their agenda…
I have seen their demands, and they are not unreasonable.
They do not expect to have every demand met, and they have been clear about that, but McCarthy is refusing to bend.
Honestly, I do not blame this group one bit for holding out even if it delays the GOP agenda, which, let’s face it, is dead in the water anyway with Democrats holding the Senate and White House.
